Flare admitted involuntary, shaking her head softly. Mentally kicking herself for responding back the the male. Sigh parted lips as she turned back to face him. Deciding that she at least owed him an explanation.

“It’s just—“

Silence fell over the two as Flare contemplated her next few words. One could say that was afraid of what the outcome would be once the male realised who she was, since it seemed that for the moment that was the knowledge that he lacked.

“— Your guild mark surprised me was all.
       I didn’t expect to see a Fairy Tail member out here”

And that was the truth, she honestly didn’t. She now just hoped that she would be able to leave with out causing a scene. Flare knew very well that most Fairy Tail members weren’t ready to see her, even if Lucy had explained to them that the crimson female was no longer a threat.

           her nervousness wasn’t a good sign, and while she reassured him that he wasn’t to blame for her sudden misgivings, he couldn’t help but feel that his presence played a part in it. the silence that hung over them was definitely awkward, and just about when bixlow was going to place his focus elsewhere, she had spoken up with a response that took him by surprise.

           she had reservations with his affiliation, and it was only in that moment that he realized why the redhead seemed so familiar. he had seen her as a part of the team representing raven tail in the daimoutu enbu, the guild that his superior’s father founded. she was the one who had cheated of victory off of the cosplay chick. the last he had seen of her or any of her comrades was when laxus wiped the floor with them.

           as much as he wanted to express his rage over what ensued during the grand magic games, he couldn’t. there was something inside of him that kept him from voicing a bad opinion of the woman. instead, he chose to point out that she was stalling the payment lane.
